For the 2016 edition we decided to add half a day with Best Practices only, as many startups in their feedback requested them without having any other activity in parallel. In the Best Practice on October 24th 2016 (1300-1730) eight topics will be covered by our experts in 4 tracks and the startups can attend 2 of them, each 100 minutes.

On October 25th 2016 (0900-1800) after the welcome address by our Chairman Dr. Christian Wenger and the warm-up by Jean-Pierre Vuilleumier, we will have Investors on Stage. They will be joined by selected Supporters on stage to pitch. A public voting will reward the 3 best investors.

Thereafter 60 Startups on 3 Stages will participate in the Pitching Battle. The qualification for these slots will be done at the Elevator Pitch events, held on October 6th 2016 in Basel (Messeturm, Bar Rouge) and October 8th 2016 in Zurich (Prime Tower, Restaurant Clouds).

After the lunch-break we will host our first Panel, Learn from Investors, where Investors will share their expericences and advice with the Startups.

The 1to1 Meetings will then offer the opportunity to meet with pre-determined potential investors, industrial partners, support organisations or other Startups. This year we will have 100 tables, so 800-1’000 meetings will be possible (720 last year) at our speed dating service.

In parallel to the 1to1 meetings, participants can follow the second Panel, Learn from Founders, where Startup Founders will share firsthand their learnings with the participants.

The day will come to an end with the Pitching Battle Final with the 9 most promising Startups of the day and end with an Apéro riche and great Jazz music. During the day you may visit the booths of our Partners and Sponsors and of course network. Our Event App will come with some new features to make the event a great success for you.
